A racking system for the storage of fibre materials, metal materials, beams is called a spindle rack. In terms of function, storage is carried out horizontally on arms. Fibre storage racks with arms can be either single-sided (single) or double-sided (twin).
The advantage of rolling racks over fixed systems is the maximum use of the available space. The installation area can be up to double that of fixed shelving. Thanks to the minimisation of the traffic corridor.
The main components of the rolling arm racking system are the track system, the chassis system and the rolling rack superstructure, which can be customised to suit the requirements. Rolling racks can be installed on chassis, usually welded, on almost any type of superstructure. One of the most important parameters is the load capacity of the chassis or slab. If adequate slab reinforcement has been taken into account in the design of the building, it is also possible to install a rolling shelf or rack on the upper floors. In practice, the most common location for the installation of a rolling racking system is the ground floor or basement level.
The advantages of a plate or bundle storage / fibre block/ arm shelf are space saving, quick storage and retrieval, good transparency, easy to manage stock, which is much easier to keep track of. It can store metal sheets and boards in different shapes and sizes. The frame system is made of steel profiles, which can be either a locking section or a tubular system.
